Hildesley Court is a delightful place to live for the true countryman. Under the lee of the handsome church of St. Mary’s, it is surrounded by rolling countryside, pretty villages, pleasant walks and good pubs, two of which are in the village. Sadly the village shop and post office recently closed – but both are supplied in nearby Compton. However, in the modern tradition, using internet shopping, full shopping services are available on the Courtyard and Waitrose, Sainsbury and Tesco will deliver to the doorstep, whist the Courtyard also provides a weekly “handybus” service taking residents alternately to Newbury and Wantage.

Hildesley Court is a tranquil development of 20 properties overlooking an attractive garden courtyard. There are 13 two and three bedroom cottages, some wider, some with conservatories and 7 two bedroom flats, Upstairs flats have balconies.
All cottages have a small private garden; all properties have a garage nearby. There is also accommodation for the Courtyard Managers, a guest suite for residents’ guests and the use of a communal laundry.
